2015 Salary Survey of Six Sigma Professionals in the Philippines

1/19/2016

Lean Six Sigma certified professionals are valued and sought-after by corporations world-wide.

These individuals are crème de la crème.  They are disciplined, data-driven, with high level of tenacity to implement positive changes in an organization.

They are not expert in statistics, but expert facilitators, equipped not only with statistical and process improvement tools and techniques but also with change management tools and charisma from all levels of the organization.

Once you have one in your organization, given the right support, Six Sigma certified individuals is able to yield millions of cost savings by reducing process defects, process delays and process variation.

How are they valued in the Philippines?  Six Sigma Philippines surveyed a number of Six Sigma certified individuals and here are the results (take note that only few are Six Sigma certified in the Philippines).

Picture
The average Six Sigma Green Belt certified salary is P77,577.00, and it ranges from P28,000 to P180,000.00 per month, excluding bonuses and other benefits.

A Six Sigma Black Belt in the Philippines gets an average salary of P148,000.00 and ranges from P87,000 to P260,000.00.

Expensive to hire a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt?

NOT REALLY.  If you consider the cost of poor quality of your current processes, and the cost of doing nothing.  Factor in also the hard savings of process improvement projects, the returns is exponential.

Six Sigma Philippines compiled cost savings of actual six sigma projects of our consultants, students, and clients in 2015.  An average Six Sigma Green Belt project yields an annual cost savings of P2.6MM and ranges from P13,000.00 to P21MM.

For a Six Sigma Black Belt project, the average is P4.1MM, and it ranges from P32,000.00 to P22.8MM.

This is an awesome investment. It's just unfortunate that I was not one of the lucky ones to be trained by my former company. I hope that you can create a scheme for individuals who would liken to undergo training but can pay the fee at a much affordable scheme. More power to you!

I am working for our Family Business while keeping my online career as a VA. I think acquiring a 6 Sigma training would be beneficial for both but I don't think I need a black belt just yet. What would you recommend and what are the payment method to attend on one of your programs?

I've been a green belt since 2005 but I never knew I could have a good-paying job from this.

Hi Tanny, there are two paths after obtaining your certification. One is to continue with your specialization (Accounting, IT, HR, etc.) and by having six sigma tools, methodologies and techniques at your disposal, you'll be several steps ahead of other managers.

The road less taken is to do six sigma full-time. Our survey are salary of six sigma professionals full-time managing process improvement projects.

Thank you very much for your comment.

Hello! I am currently 2yrs in my current job (first job) i have heard about six sigma because our company offers training to selected employees. 1. Do you offer yellow belt? Because our company offers yellow belt for aspiring supervisors. 2. Considering you offer yellow belt, will the certificate be honored in our company or do i need to transfer company for the certificate to take effect? And lastly, how long is the validity of the certificate?

I understand that for employees who were given a training by their employers, they need to complete a project before receiving the certificate. In your 4-day greenbelt program, will we be able to receive the certificate? Can we use that and apply our acquired knowledge in our future companies and command at least the average salary? :)

We have same program in my previous company. I was formerly connected to a shared service. With your program, do i need to complete the yellow belt before becoming a green or black belt? Do you have schedule for 2016? How much would be each program, yellow, green and black?

i attended training/seminar about six sigma greenbelt program. as i understand you will be CERTIFIED IF YOU HAVE APPLIED WHAT YOU HAVE LEARN in your workplace, you need to pass your proof of your work to the certifying bodies in ORDER FOR YOU TO BE CERTIFIED IN SIX SIGMA, NOT BY ATTENDING SEMINARS ALONE. what you will get in seminar is just a certificate of attendance, that's what i understand on how to be certified.

I have completed yellow belt training when I was on my previous company. This site also contains my completion of training. https://www.moresteam.com. I'm just wondering if I can add this as credential in my portfolio? or this is just applicable to my previous company (IBM). Thanks a lot

I'm Ric, I saw this page of your's in Facebook and got interested with it. However I would like to ask what services do you offer? because I'm quite confuse what does the six sigma stands for and what is the purpose?. is it some kind of a training on computer/IT or career development/building or a work being offered? or a job opening? Please enlighten me with this six sigma with that green and black belt thing written on the website.
