What is the Salary of Six Sigma Professionals in the Philippines?

2/16/2015

The respondents are full time Six Sigma practitioners. Take note that there are 2 paths for those who are certified in Six Sigma. The road few take is to be a full-time Six Sigma professional. Role is to manage process improvement projects. The second option which many take is to continue in the field where one belongs to: Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, General Management, IT, Shared Services, Audit, Sales, Marketing.

Major misconception of Six Sigma Certification is it is only for quality professionals. As a manager, regardless of what department you are in, 'managing' the current-state process is just one function of a manger. The company is expecting you, as a manager, to 'improve' the process over-time. Gone are the days when you get hired and after 10 years when you retire, the process is the same.

What sets a "GREAT" manager from the rest is that he seeks to improve processes rather than just manage it, worse, fire fight.

The survey was done June of 2013, with sample size of 60 for Green Belt and 22 for Black Belt. We are updating the data for 2015, please subscribe free to get it once posted here.

Median is different than Mean or Mode. Median only tells that the middle of the price range. It is not mode in which it is the highest number of people with that salary, and not even mean, which is the average of all of the salaries. Just sayin

Hi. Yes you're correct. Median is usually preferred if there is a great variation between the samples and using average or mean may be misleading.

Yes that is correct. Median is usually preferred if you have big variation between your data set and using mean or average may mislead the analysis.

Regarding efficient improvement of projects I can for sure recommed Kanban Tool for both small and large projects. We use it for some time and its very flexi.
